Oh my God...the infamous 'peanut butter' story. This one had probably the best origins of all the stories Dale and I have written together. It was a multi-genre EXPERIENCE writing this... involving AIM convos and pictures on LJs and real life peanut butter...

ANYWAY.

We still consider this to be our crowning achievement. It took us two solid evenings of writing to finish, and we have hearts for it to this day. This part is just shy of 2,000 words, and it doesn't even cover the first page of the RP. So...we're in for a long trip...

One of my summer goals is to write absolutely anything, and after a week of lazing about the house, I've finally gotten off of my butt to start writing a fic I've had in mind for a little while now.

It's a Kingdom Hearts AU, set in world where Humans, Heartless and Nobodies are three distinct species, and the Heartless are hated to the point that hunting and killing them is not only legal, but expected of humans. Diz, a scientist, is conducting research on the Heartless, and so he takes in a stray (Riku) in order to perform a case study.

Unfortunately, I'm not having much luck writing the fic in a linear fashion, so it's coming in bits and peices. Here's a preview, because I love you all that much.

Inspiration comes at the strangest times. I haven't even looked at this fic in almost a year, and yet here I am, writing for it again. When I look back at it, damnit. I was a shitty writer when I started. I'm not really ashamed of it, and it's a good example of how much I've (hopefully) grown as a writer.

It might be a blessing, it might be a curse. This is far from the best thing I've ever written. NaNoWriMo hardly ever is. This year I'm throwing plot out the window and going for something unusual. I like this story only because of Delilah and Greg's reaction to the body. For nearly 3000 words they just talk. They don't so much talk about the body as they talk over the body. For some reason, I like this.

Emily Wray and I had such a blast writing this. I'm glad I dragged my lazy butt out into the rain to go to class, instead of playing hooky and wasting my night playing Halo with Dale and Steve.

The story was written using Writely.com, with Emily and I writing the story together at the same time. We each took a branch and ran with it in our own directions. As such, the story doesn't make a whole ton of sense. Either way, it was fun to write, and a great flashback to the days of the 'Choose your own adventure' story.

I'm not positive if all of Emily's parts are finished. If she does add more, I'll edit this entry accordingly.
